@ArdainianRight Centralized reproduction can keep population in check, and it means that people can focus on more fulfilling things than raising children.

@hachi What's more fulfilling than raising children?

@ArdainianRight Hobbies, traveling, etc. There were a lot of famous celibate people that had fulfilling lives.

@hachi What's the point of developing a hobby or accruing life experiences via travel if there's no one coming along after you to pass those things on to? Life's meaning becomes clear through your relations to others, without them it all feels kind of hollow and pointless.

@ArdainianRight @hachi Travel would make sense if you could document those experiences, but that only works for places unexplored. Which today, we only have under the ocean and outer space.
